Sitting and Waiting

My day started pretty early as I had a 5:45 AM flight out of Milwaukee for a short 20 minute hop to Chicago as I begin my journey back to Hong Kong.
United was pretty good as the flight took off on time and despite arriving in Chicago at the "F" concourse and having to hoof it to the "C" concourse to catch the connection to San Fran, I can say that I've been getting a pretty good work out with all the walking. The flight from Chicago to San Fran was uneventful other than the overhead light that had a life of its own as it would turn on and off whenever it wanted to. It was almost comedic actually as I would hit the button to turn the darn thing off and minutes later, the darn thing would pop on.
Arriving in San Francisco was okay but baggage claim left much to be desired, I had to wait about 45 minutes as the bags seem to come off one at a time. Then of course zig zagging through human traffic to make my way to the International Terminal, but I'm here, I have a seat and unlike the Northwest experience, I have time to recoup before the grueling nine hour hop to Tokyo and then the four hour hop to Hong Kong. I've started the countdown, one month and eleven days. Ugh.
