The work week has begun on my third week here and while it has not been as warm as it was the first week I have been here, the rain has been falling on and off throughout the weekend and the day. Not much to say as the weekend was fairly tame, after work on Saturday I didn't do too much and yesterday I went and watched "The Mummy III" a little bit before noon just to get out of the flat. Funny how all the screens that were dedicated to "The Dark Knight" were now dedicated to "The Mummy III" and now only one screen was for "The Dark Knight". I guess "The Mummy III" did better overseas here than "The Dark Knight" so I guess it was Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh that added to that little bit. "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" replaced "The Dark Knight" in the top spot at the foreign box office during the weekend after opening at No. 1 in 26 of its 28 markets." The story was somewhat forced though and I am glad that I didn't pay the $9.00 or $10.00 that they charge in back in the States for admission. Even though I paid about $3.00 for the ticket the whole theatre experience is pretty much what I paid for, talking, mobile phones and a pretty much ear deafening sound system complete with static and pops.

I did get to finally find a place that has puto, my mum asked if there was a "Goldilocks" in the mall that I go to hang out at and when I told her that there was she told me I could find some there. So Sunday before the movie I went to the "Goldilocks" and viola, there they were! Little rice flour sponge cake goodness that my mum used to make when I was a kid. Of course they didn't taste as good as what I remembered from what my mum made, but it was still the fix I had been looking for. Funny how I would just walk by that place whenever I was in there and never stopped to look to see if they had it. So this was one of the peaks in all of the valleys of this trip so far.

We're on day 7 of no M90 as well so I'm taking bets as to when it arrives and is actually in my possession. 5 to 1 for Tuesday, 10 to 1 on Wednesday, 15 to 1 for Thursday and let's go 20 to 1 on Friday. There are your odds so bet amongst yourselves. I personally think, given the way things have been going on this trip, that I won't have possession the Thursday before I head back to the States.
