Ah yes, arrival in L.A. and after a wait at the baggage feeder it was the relatively short walk to the International Terminal where I checked in with relative ease.  I think I'm getting too used to this already though I did earn a "gold star" from one of the TSA agents in Milwaukee as I had everything out and in order to go through security.

Wheeeee!

I am "relaxing" in the lounge right now, I have that in quotes as I don't feel very relaxed at all.  It might be the background noise that is preventing me from that.  There's an Ozzie here who is on his mobile in complete disregard for the posted signs that pretty much say no mobile phones in this particular area.  There's a gaggle of kids pushing around a baby in a stroller making all sorts of racket so it isn't quite a relaxing environment.  Oh well, that's okay as it is almost time to walk to the gate anyway.

Next stop Guam for a 45 minute refuel and then the next time I'll be able to log in an entry will be Monday as I land in Manila at six in the morning.  How fun will that be?!?!

Unless of course the plane explodes in a big ball of flame and I get trapped on an island like Tom Hanks did in "Castaway".

in & out
dude...I know LAX is grim but you could always grab a cab and head over to In and Out Burger...there is one right outside the airport...

makes the layovers MUCH nicer!

Re: in & out
True but I was blessed with only a three hour layover so that made things much more bearable in that I could just check in and head to the lounge to wait. LOL
