Cider Country!

Oviedo is the capital of the autonomous region called the Prince of Asturias. The ambiance of the city was it´s best feature, something you just have to experience. It is a urban city but has a small town feel, the people are friendly and the cider is good! There are bars in the city that serve only cider and when you order it, it comes in a bottle that the bartender pours into a glass for you. The way they pour it was crazy though they literally put the bottle as high in the air as they can reach and with the other hand they put the cider mug as low as possible when they serve it(see pic). The cider should to be served with a foamy texture and is POUNDED immediately before it loses it´s foamy texture. It´s no problem as they serve 3 or 4 ounces at a time. The funny part was looking around in the bar and watching a group of older Spanish women sitting around chatting while they chug their cider! It´s good stuff!
