What I did
Walked through ancient ruins
I went to see Osito, the man who has to fix my purse. He saw me and a look of "oh no I forgot" came across his face. I was like "Seriously? It's not ready?" and he told me he would bring it to Urubamba and that he'd forgotten. At least he's honest about it. Anyways, I gave him my cell phone number and he said he could come by around 6 pm whatever day, so I told him Tuesday or Wednesday. In retrospect, I should have gotten his phone number, but oh well, we'll see how it goes....
So we walked up past the market to the entrance of the ruins and paid 70 soles
We got there at 14:00 and went up with Sao. Our csers needed to go change money and told us to go ahead and go since we would probably be slow and they were fast walkers.
Turns out Sao is quite the mountain goat! He doesn't love going down as much, but he'll grow out of that I think. The ruins were huge and spanned over a few mountains. We didn't get to make it to everything before the sun set, bummer. It was beautiful though and made me nostalgic for a time when they were occupied and used as homes/stores/etc. It must have been spectacular.
Tomorrow is a national holiday in Peru so I don't work...Ronald and I are going to see the bullfight here in Urubamba! I think after that he's going to watch a cock fight, but I don't want to so I'll just hang out with Sao or something...
Big day tomorrow....
