October 18/11, Grand Canyon RV Park, Arizona

One of the 7 wonders of the world and we are here!!! Breathtaking scenery.  Hard to put it into words, but hopefully the photos will give you an idea of the magnitude of the canyon.  "JFA"….

We are here for the next five days so hope to do lots of exploring and taking many more pictures and have a few hours of R&R. We didn't have many long stops to get here, trying to get off the prairies so we are looking forward to “chilling” for a while. Today we had elk come wandering very close to the MH. Cool.  Grand Canyon Village is a little city here, complete with a medical centre. We once again had to visit a medical centre to try and get Gord’s asthma under control. New meds now, so hopefully things will improve.

October 22 Grand Canyon RV Park, Arizona

Today is our last day here. Gord thought we should spend the winter here as it is so beautiful but someone told us that it does get cold here. We have had temps in the 80’s every day here. We have done lots of site seeing and took a hike yesterday for about 2 km along the rim. Very few railings, narrow trail and lots of 1,500 foot drop offs….. Needless to say Gord’s vertigo got a workout and Gwen has figured out how to walk straight and not look down. Gord is on the mend and almost back to normal, whatever that means….

Looks like fun! Glad Gord is getting better - I had to take allergy medication during the height of harvest here. Wish we were there!!

Great views in the photos. Glad you are still enjoying the mild temperatures. Our temperatures are dropping here in Minnesota. We are fortunate to hit mid 50s now, however, no snow as yet. Sorry to hear Gord wasn't feeling well, glad to hear he is on the mend.
Take care,

That is magnificant scenery! Looks warm too.....I can tell by the shorts and the lack of white stuff on the ground. Glad you are having a fun time!
