November 12

Made it to Lancaster, CA. The freeway wasn't so bad today, we survived. Amazing number of wind turbines along the way, 4500 so the tour book said. They were everywhere!!! Apparently this is a great place to go hot air ballooning. There were a couple in the air when we woke up. Not for this chickie!!! They recommend going early in the morning (not) before the winds come up.

We camped in a spot very similar to Walmart, paved RV spot ,level, not fancy, but water, sewer and electricity. No cable TV or internet. But we can survive for one night. There is a motorcross track about 500 metres from the campground which kep us entertained until dark. Thank goodness for sunset.....
