A few things about Dubrovnik and Croatia: the people are super friendly and the language sounds to me like a cross between Italian and Russian..it sounds good though, trust me. The food is also great..very Italian actually, but with twists here and there. Most of all though, the old city of Dubrovnik is really something to be seen.
Unfortunately, our plans that night to hit the town were a bit interrupted by my introduction to food poisoning..Let me just say that it was a long night and I feel like I lost 10 pounds, but I still maintain that the food here is good..I think it was a delayed reaction to some Turkish food..
So unfortunately we only had 2 days in Dubrovnik, one of which ended up being a travel day..However, tomorrow we are taking the Jadrolinija ferry out to Hvar Island in central Dalmatia..According to Lonely Planet, Hvar is "a beautiful town on a beautiful island full of beautiful people"...lets see..
