Here we go, I'm back at the big Apple about 6 years after I went there with a friend of mine (Harald) in Spring 1999 and one thing really surprised me.
Why the hell is it so humid here, I'm not in the rainforest am I?

I spend the time in New York at a friends place in Queens and got the full inside view of living in this great City. I would say it's a bit like London just that in Manhattan it's much harder to find a green spot to sit down and enjoy your lunch. And you can't really see the city because you can only see the building around you.

The cool thing is that you can travel with the tube (they call it subway) to the beach of Conny Island. It's like Brighton but with real sand 09/11 Memorial Staten Island

 . That's really nice and people from Manhatten spend the weekends there to chill out.

I didn't do a lot in New York other then soaking up the vibe's of the city, visit a few museums and getting into the idea that I will travel around the world in the next months.

Ahh, there is one more thing and Athena you will be surprised.
Now I'm a bargain hunter too :-)
