We past the buses but it looked like a trip to bingo and they cost 7 dollars...pass
An hour later we reached the entrance about 20 steps away from a stroke. We got our stamps to climb Waynapicchu but our legs had turned to jelly....we had four hours before we had to do it and we hoping to regain mobility by then.
We had a 2 hour tour of the site and the English dude decided Inca sminky.. he wanted to take photos so interrupted the poor guide who then forgot what he was saying and left.
We made it up to Waynapicu at 11 but Jane decided that she was agoraphobic just as we reached the summit which was a collection of rocks. I thought Kerry mountain rescue would need to be called but she calmed down and all was well again. Heights really arenīt her thing but fair play she made it!
We finished the day at the Guardhouse which gives a great view of the whole site and gives you the postcard pics of Machu Picchu. We overheard a guy talk about how he slipped the guard a 100 dollar bill to climb Waynapicchu ...so so glad we chose the private trek... Amazing day :)
