On Saturday the 11th of August I got up at 6:00am, packed the rest of my bag and checked out of my hostel. The Desert Venture bus arrived at 6:45am. It had people destined for both Alice Springs and Darwin. So 15 minutes out the road the people going to Alice Springs had to change bus. I talked to a guy from South Africa for this short trip, because he was going to Alice Springs. When the people got off, I got a window seat with an empty seat next to me until a girl with red died hair sat beside me. I broke the ice and asked her how long had she been in Cairns, only one day she said. Her name was Manca and she was from Slovenia, this is the first person I have ever met from Slovenia. :-) The first part of the trip took us though the lower part of the Atherton tablelands. Where the landscape was beautiful. There is a large dairy industry in the tablelands. It is also home to the large red cedar tree.
We then headed on to the Millstream Falls, which is the widest waterfall in Australia. We passed thought a place called Millaa Millaa, which is an aboriginal word for water water. If a word repeats it's self you can be almost sure it is an aboriginal word. On to Revenshoe, which is the highest town in Queensland, with an altitude of 904m. There are 13 different types of rain forest's in Australia.
We stopped to have lunch at Mt. Surprise, followed by a snake show by a man called Russell. He had a black headed python snake around his neck, which he later passed around. This python snake is immune to all venomous snakes. I had the black headed python around my neck. But not for too long. :-) He also had the most venomous snake in the world there, but of course he did not handle it. There are 25 venomous snakes in the world, with 21 out of the 25 in Australia and the top 11 most dangerous are also in Australia.
After the snake show we drove to our first nights destination, a town called Croydon. We stayed in a place called the Club Hotel. When we arrived we dumped out our bags and drove to Belmore lake for swim and then watched a beautiful sun set. We then went back to the hotel for dinner and a beer. For dinner we had lasagna and salad. Crydon is a strange place, not much to the place, it basically had a pub (where we stayed), a police station and a butchers. That night in the hotel/pub we played a game of pool called killers. I came no where. There were many strange Aussie men in the bar. I guess they have nothing else to do around there apart from drink. I mostly talked to an English girl from Essex who was working in the town.

Finally I found my ID and password. I wrote it down somewhere but I lost it. By miracle I found it back. You are making a hugh trip there. You seem to enjoy yourself very much. I have to admitt that it is a beautifull country apart from the fact that there is too much nature and that the distances are beyond my imagination.
How was Bangkok? Anyway how is your sex or love life there?
