Left Charlotte and drove in the rain all morning.

But as I approached my play destination for the day the rain had stopped and shortly after beginning play the sun came out and it turned into a nice day.  I certainly have enjoyed good weather and especially good weather for this time of year.

The Village at Deacon Creek is a Dell Webb community.  Originally it did not have any pickleball but the residents lobbied for it and they now have two dedicated courts and a converted tennis court providing two more pb courts.

These were great courts in a wonderful setting.  Even lights for evening play.  In the pictures notice the plastic drainage pipe placed above the fence.  Provided some safe cushioning if you just had to go after that wide shot.  Fortunately I didn't test it.

Six players.  We utilized one court and had some good games.

Drove on for a overnight in Villa Rica GA.

Sunday drive and visit relatives, and Monday will be the big day of introducing pb to members of First Baptist Church in Jackson MS.
