We woke to a rainy morning in Shenandoah National Park and decided not to do any walks and instead get on down to Washington early.  The lodge looked like a great place for Breakfast, but it turns out that they serve breakfast between 7:30 and 10am and as per usual we only woke up at 9:30, so we missed out.

The evening before we were out walking and spied our second black bear out in the wild, along with wild Turkeys, Grouse and plenty of white tailed Dear. Just as we were getting to bed, Thomas noticed something out side that van, and to everyones delight it turned out to be a Skunk. - But much to the boys disappointment, it didn't let off any foul smells.

The major activity today was a visit to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. What an amazing place.

Shuttle Endeavor in one corner, Tomcat, Hornet, Wright brother first plane to the SR71 Blackbird you name it and  it was there, even a Concord.

One of the highlights was a session in a flight simulator, that was an awesome experience. Gen flew the first flight with Harry on weapons, most of the flight was spent upside down or spinning out of control. Dad an Harry had a similar experience and only managed to shoot down one enemy plane.  Luckily we had lunch after the flight simulator and not before.

After watching an IMAX film and visiting the Control Tower, we were ushered out at 17:30, closing time.

The IPad continues to be a big hit, the most common question each day: , "is it my turn on the IPad yet" ?
