After the conference we headed to St Eustatius, via St Maartin, a smaller island that makes up part of the Dutch Antilles. We stayed in Statia Lodge and had scooters to get ourselves round the island. Hiking up the volcano we saw snakes, lizards and crabs.

Finally someone visits St. Eustatius (Statia). What a layed back, charming, historical island. Have visited there numerous times. Not the commerical mess you get on most islands. Always something to do but no crowds. LOVE it. Diane
