Happy halloween amigos!!

I have halloween envy and wish I could transport myself back to SF (the Halloween capital of the world) just for the night!  Anyway, I´m in a good mood because I´m all situated in my new apartment in San Telmo. It´s perhaps not as quaint as the other apartment I had but it´s still super nice and I love this area. It´s a bit grittier  but fantastic people, great bars and antiques everywhere. There´s cobble stone streets and in general a bit more color here. I love having my own space and I´ve got access to my favorite TV programming! So, I just went to the store and stocked up on some basics including vegitables!! God knows the only way I´ll have them is if I make them myself!

The people at the last hostel I was in were fantastic. Goofy and fun. The owners are artists and their work is all over the walls. The tenents were great too and I met a fellow traveler from SF!

The weather is getting hotter now...It´s probably like  75 or something? Not sure..:

My biggest problem is  getting some change together for the  washing machine in my building ( a total luxury). My clothes are in DIRE need of being washed. My jeans are about to walk off down the street. But change is a hot commodity down here  and I have to totally hoard (sp?) it. Stores always want your change, etc. No one ever has it...

OK- I´m outta here.

Have a great night gools and goolettes!

Happy Halloween to you to!
Wow! Meri your all over that country, and your right the best way to see it is to drive through it. I have done it three times myself in the US and once in Mexico the coast to mexico city, a long trip, but no dead cows thank god!

I have been left behind by a bus though, in Barre de navidad the next one wansn't til the next morning, so I went to a local tavern that was open til morning and hung out drinking cervesa, then caught the first bus the next morning. Scary dudes but I was no worse for the wear.

Miss ya have fun, and no costume or Castro for me it is raining here so staying in and watching scary movies,
stay well
Tim
