Buenos noches senors y senoritas,

Bariloche is simply one of the most beautiful places I´ve seen to date. It´s like what Lake Tahoe must have been like 30 years ago or something. I went running this AM and it was great- along a stone path next to the lake. I did feel like I was going to cough up a lung from all of the pollution I´d been breathing-gross! I also feel slightly under the weather today so that might also have been it. I retreated to my room with a view and took a nap in the afternoon. I think I was just run down...The people here (so far) do not compare to the Portenos (people of BA). They´re vibe isn´t as good to me for some reason. They are more laid back but sort of less friendly as well. It´s just a first impression thing...who knows what they´re really like. I could have also just come across some grumps.

From my window I just saw these people flying through the air....let me qualify that...they were like hang gliders-but sitting rather than having their legs going out behind them if that makes sense. One of them seemed to come so close to my window I felt I could shout out to him. It was pretty cool and a total photo op except my camera is dead. I need to recharge the battery but the adapter I bought broke and the store was closed for the day when I returned. I guess it´s the difference between country and city life. It bugged me though because here I am in this beautiful place and I can´t take pictures. Oh well, I´m sure I´ll resolve the situation tomorrow.

Anyway, all is well and I think I´m going to go hit this two bit town and find rustle me up some grub.

Adios amigos!

People flying
You may not remember this but it's one of my best images of our trip abroad with Thais. Waking up in our inn on the French border. Looking outside at the mountains and there were hang gliders - silently floating by. Also my favorite breakfast: bowls of coffee, fresh bread and jam. To this day I still taste the fresh bread and enjoy the imagery of the hang gliders. xoxo M
