Buenos tardes,

Today we had a huge thunderstorm in the AM! It was awesome- poured down rain and I had to dodge huge puddles as I made my way to my usual cafe for my AM cafe con leche (I´m such a creature of habit- an entire city and I go to the same cafe every day and order the same thing- just like my SF routine!) It is now kind of muggy.

The rain kept me inside a bit more than usual today but I did go to the museum in Recoleta again since it´s basically in my back yard, free and not very crowded. I had this whole wing to myself and it was so cool...this one room was super spooky - like walking into a haunted house alone. It was dark and had all of these illuminated freaky stone masks and this ominous music playing. I was the only one in there and it was freaky!! This is definitely a city where you can find your own space, which I totally like.

I never know what time it is...Every clock in this city says a different time. If I ask someone casually I can never understand what they say and I don´t really want to make someone write it if I´m on the street. Even the time on the computers are all off! I´m going to have to invest in an alarm clock so I can get myself up in time for flights, etc.

I think I may extend my stay here a couple of days since the apartment I´m renting is free until Friday I think. I´m attached to my space and I want a couple more days to figure out where I´m staying in my next destination, etc. I think I´ve decided to go to the mountains-Bariloche instead of Puetro Madryn - more to do there and supposedly really beautiful. I´m seriously considering going to a travel agent so I dont have to deal with arranging things. We´ll see. I´ll tackle that stuff manana.

Off to get something to eat.

Peace out!

International Languages...
Good to hear about:
1.) animals (most importantly dogs)
2.) belly laughs
3.) the comfort of TV (which you forgot to mention)

and still waiting to hear about
4.) The international language of LOVE!

I can't wait for your SF slide show Meri. Live it up and sleep tight! We are all with you in spirit. xo, jen
