So we headed off on another greyhound journey, this time to San Francisco! It was a bit of a culture shock when we got off the bus! We were greeted with huge skyscrapers so it took a while for us to adjust! We walked to our motel which we'd booked online (it was a bargain) and ended up in Skid Row! We basically had to step over hobo's to get there and we soon realised why it had been so cheap!! Luckily we were only booked in there for one night and the next day we moved to a place close to Union Square which is the main part of San Fran and where everything's going on! Went to China Town on the second day whcih was really cool, they had some great tacky shops too!

On the last day we took a tour bus down to the bay area which was really nice, a complete contrast to the city centre! The tour bus was a pretend tram and the guy who was our guide on the way back (we called him Joe although i think we made that up!) was hilarious! Got to see all the crazy steep streets and the winding street which they made that way so horses wouldn't break their legs going up it! Random! But we took lots of photos so you can have a look!

Joe was full of facts including the fact that the real trams are run on a cable which goes at 9mph and that all the houses in the bay area have 1inch between them so that if they catch fire the fire brigade can form a wall of water between them to stop it spreading. FACT! (see we're learning things too!)

Fear of the black and white
love the black and white photos really arty - seen a white beetle like that somewhere before! Does this mean you will start watching old black and white films?
