The cheapest way to Brisbane was to catch the 5.55am Premier Coach which meant trying to sneak out of our dorm and tippy toe as quietly as possible! We had the good sense to look for a better hostel this time and ended up staying in the Westend. The hostel was ultra friendly and gave rides to and from the centre of town every hour.
31st March 2008
Highlight: falafel kebab & worlds biggest portion of chips.
1st April 2008
Although it wasn't very hot for our last day in Oz we wanted to explore the South Bank river as they have made oriental gardens, lagoons and even a bizare man made beach! On the way into the city we stopped to watch some of the protests against China. FREE TIBET!!
It only seemed right to toast a fond farewell to Oz, so we stopped of at Rumpus Room, a bar with the biggest bean bags this side of the equator and also some funky graffiti in the gents. Then after managing to have a quick chat with our lovely families we said good bye to Australia and headed for our plane to Singapore! Wooooooooooo!
