Byron Bay is a really small chilled out coastal town full of surfers and hippies, unfortunately it was heavng with tourists who were there for the Bluesfest which is held every Easter and explained why our accomodation was so expensive! The beaches and the ocean are gorgeous and it's easy to see why it's such a popular place and why we spent most of our time on there (Gem soaking up the rays while Sam dived into the huge waves!)
