13th/14th March 2008

We were picked up from the glamourous Oslo hotel early in the morning ready for our 2 day trip along The Great Ocean Road. It was quite a small minibus with about 15 people most of whom were English and a similar age to us. Our driver and tourguide was a guy called Eddie who a real dude and just wanted to go swimming in the sea at every opportunity, surfing the waves like a dolphin! We stopped at lots of beautiful beaches and had an unsuccessful kangaroo spotting stop (bar one). We did get to see lots of wild Koalas chilling in a camp site which was pretty cool. The cost of the trip included overnight accomodation in a hostel in Apollo Bay and a meal which we expecting to be a bowl of something dodgy, however we had a slap up meal at a pub and spent the rest of the night having some drinks with the others in our group (and Eddie who had a few too many!)

The next day we were supposed to have a fairly early start but there were a few sore heads (not us!) so it was quite late byt he time we got to the 12 Apostles. These are the most famous rock formations along the coast with huge stacks of rock sticking out from the ocean. After a long ride back on the bus we only had an hour until we had to board our 15hour greyhound coach to Sydney!
