Heading East we stopped off in Blenheim to stay at a hostel which had a river running past the back garden. We wasted no time in taking advantage of the free kayaks and followed the ducks down the river, basking in the sun! MALLARD! It was a beautiful, slow moving river and we were the only people on it. After just about managing not to fall in as we disembarked we strolled into town to go to their art gallery. It took us all of about 10 minutes to walk round as it was the size of a shoe box but they had some great photographs and some not so great drawings by a kiwi artist. Unfortunately the donations box was sealed so we said goodbye to our $2's and relaxed in the gorgeous park in town.
