Plannimg ahead this time we booked up in advance to stay at the best hsotel in town and were really looking forward to it because it got really good reviews.....unfortunately when we got there they had no record of us and were fully booked! We could tell that the owner thought it was our mistake and that we were confused about where we had booked but he did manage to find us space in another hostel in town. This hostel was actually pretty good as it was closer to town, we had a tv in our room and it was cheaper! The only bad thing about it was mr stompy the flat footed mute canadian owner! After exploring Nelson which was really nice, we got back to our room to find a bottle of red wine and a note from the original hostel saying they'd found their mistake and were really sorry! Don't you just love a happy ending!
PS. funny how Gem "I dont like red wine" soon develops a taste for it when its free and we haven't drunk in ages!
