After going through the millions of hostels trying to find a place the night before we heard about a retreat that had been set up by some native american wannabes where all the accomodation was in Tipis! We thought it sounded like fun so we booked it up! When we got there we got the official tour from the owner who came bounding out of his house in a very small pair of leather shorts! He was very german, had a handshake like a vice, had no respect for personal space and said 'Good on yer man' as a reply to anything we said. We knew we had a character on our hands. We were given instructions how to make a fire in the tipi and use the chimney type arrangement with flaps and poles and shown the outside bath and shower. Inside the Tipi wasn't like our luxury yurt but it was fun making a fire in your bedroom.
