The hostel that we stayed in was really nice, had lots of outdoor chill out areas and hammocks and you could see the sea from the roof top hang out area. Kory spent a lot of time resting up and I used my free time to write my journal and make it into a blog.
We spent a bit of time walking around the town and along the seafront area. Everyone in the town seems to get about on bicycles, and lots of them are decorated with umbrellas, flowers and pictures. We saw one woman who was cycling on a normal bike but she had two children balanced along the crossbar; they seemed perfectly happy of course. I suppose it didn’t look any stranger than the family of five who were ALL sitting on one motorbike who rode past us as we walked back to the hostel.
After a good rest stop it seems like we are ready to head off again. My journal and blog are up to date, we have checked out the maps for our next few days of riding, we have cleaned all the sand/slush off our bikes again and by the sounds of things Kory’s belly must be feeling better, because he appears to trust that he can fart again! From tomorrow we head inland and up towards Medellin!
