Hello, sorry it's been ages again but we've been really busy celebrating all the festivities!! So back to Australia, after the time we had in Noosa we thought it best to move on before we had anymore bad luck, so we headed on down to Brisbane to see James's aunty margaret, and her friend Margaret(not as confusing as you'd think!). It was really nice to be back in a house rather than in hostels and gave us a chance to thoroughly wash all of our clothes!! We packed in quite a lot while we stayed here and managed to see a bit of Australias gold coast. On the first day there we just relaxed and had a delicious home cooked dinner-with vegetables and everything!! The next day the two Margaret's took us to Surfers Paradise which was pretty cool. we did a little bit of christmas shopping and a bit of sightseeing, Margaret showed us where the Indy race track was and we had our photo taken under the archway there! Also, there was a wicked sand sculpture on the beach there which James got quite a good picture of
The next day we headed over to North Stradbrooke Island, which is a similar thing to Fraser Island but a bit more civilised-it has real roads and stuff! It was fairly good there though, just a little too windy to surf so we just looked around the beaches before we headed back. Unfortunately, due to my inability to read timetables we turned up an hour early and had to amuse ourselves by watching crabs and playing in a childrens play park!! Once we were back on the mainland Margaret took us to see some of the family and we got to swim in Terry and Rhonda's (James's other aunt and uncle!) pool at night during a thunderstorm-pretty wicked actually! Next we went to visit Amanda and Ged(James's cousins) and they said we could borrow their car for the next day so that we could go to Dreamworld which is a big theme park so that was cool.
The next day we got up nice and early and headed out to Dreamworld, it was a lush sunny day and we had so much fun!! Rode on most of the rides-some were a bit too extreme for me!, went into the Australian Big Brother house and went swimming in their waterpark. very nice indeed!! Then before we knew it it was time to go back and pack our bags ready for the next step on our journey-but it wasn't goodbye as we were going to meet some more family once margaret had got down to Sydney and once we had see Byron Bay!!!
