We got up with early enough with George and we walked him to Chistype Prudy metro. I have to thank him once again for being such an unbelievable out of the blue host. Great guy to chill out and talk with. Hope to cross paths with him again one day. We had a few hours to kill, so we decided to relax in the park in Chistye Prudy and do some people watching. Watching the people walk by, from the men in business suits having their first can of beer in the morning or the young boy, who acted as security for the ice cream stand, rise and shine, to the mothers and children playing in the park, it's just enthralling to drink it in. Also played around with the camera and taught Dan a few things which Sean had patiently taught me not so long ago!
We had a light breakfast of fruit and a sandwich and headed off to meet Olga one last time before leaving Moscow. We found the place Olga told us to meet her at , and it wasn't too difficult to find.
We had a quick little lunch , where I eat some borsch for the first time, which I enjoyed surprisingly as I'm not a huge fan of beetroots.
Before we left Olga handed us a feast for the train ride and two bottles of wine. I couldn't believe how thoughtful she was. Once again thank so much for everything Olga.
We grabbed our bags from the left luggage and dashed fir our train. The first leg of our trans siberian adventure begins!
Our tickets had us sleeping in different areas but a young Russian spoke some English and he was happy to swap seats. Wed have to do this a few more times as each passenger was not going as far as we were!
We went over some items and plans for the stans to pass the time and then tucked into our Abhkazia wine and meats from Olga .
We dragged two Russians into our conversation and I think between the four of us , we all knew how to say yes in each others language, but this didn't deter us, they soon understood where we were going and how crazy we were. They gave comments to our sanity and also to how beautiful the trip would be, we know some Russian! We swapped email and phone numbers and the young blonde took a shine to Dan!
Got to bed around midnight and started reading game of thrones ( I know Sean will be happy) and listening to sweet disposition and prann . Really got the buzz of excitement tonight to know we were starting this great adventure!
