Woke up to the sound of chanting from a temple on the ghats so sat on the balcony, wrapped up watching the sun come up it was beautiful. The sky went from purple to pinks through to oranges and yellows and now a finally clear blue sky. We are now sat on the roof having breakfast deciding what to do today. We quite fancy a cookery course but they are a couple of hours long so we dont want to commit to that and potentilally miss out on something else.We decide to have a look arounf the town first and then make our minds up.
WOOHOO! - now this is important - today we are out without our jackets! yey! Off with the coats on with the sunscreen.
We are doing a cookery course this afternoon, this morning we have been to look at the city palace. that was ok but getting to the seen one seen em all stage. the court yard is nice and pretty I think it must be set out for a party or something - as we have been watching a group of men polishing the chairs lake palace

!
Apart from that nothing really to report at the palace :( isnt that awful we come all this way and notice people cleaning up!!! DK says I am a disgrace.
After leaving the palace we were walking round the town and came across NOBLES, which hosts the cookery courses... Basically what happens is after you have spoken to the man at NOBLES he phones Swarti (the teacher) who comes to meet you, takes you back to her house, she shows you the kitchen and some testimonials and if you like what you see you go through menus, agree food and a price and off we go! This afternoon we are going to be cooking veg biryani, veg curry, paratha, channa masala, chapati and veg curry.
We are now in EIDLEWEISS having a little snack beforehand 2 Americanos - DK had apple crubmle and some chocolate cake thing (?) I has cashew crumble with ice cream - was good, very good.
So onto the cookery lesson... It was a really great experience, lasted 3 hours and I would recommend to anyone. DK did most of the cooking, I think becuase the girl (Swarti) who taught us was pretty!!! My contribution was the biryani, loved it! I spent the rest of the time sampling the food and chatting to Swarti's mum. We had a great ol' girly gossip. After we made the dinner we then ate it, and it was surprisingly good although I am appaled at the amount of salt and oil that seemed to be used in the cooking.. nelly

. It was such a good day and like I said before I would recommend if your in the area.
After walking off some of the lovely dinner we have eaten we are now back at our hotel, sat on the roof drinking honey, lemon and ginger for me, beer for DK.
Theres fireworks going off over the city palace the sky is lit up so bright.
Have I mentioned the lake palace - this seems to be the most famous thing about Udaipur (although Im sure Ill be corrected) mmm -not made my mind up doesnt look all that to me.
Just remembered saw another elephant today - just trundling down the street (the elephant not us). It made me happy to see.
All in all I think we had another pretty perfect day
