Our last day in Jaisalmer. As check out was 09.30 we went to the boulangeri (?) for breakfast. Pancakes and banana for me, scrambled egg for DK coffees and all for the bargain price of 125 Rps!
After breakfast we walked around some of the streets near our hotel and it felt very Greek... Which is very strange? We bought a couple of gifts and then went to the barbers whilst DK had a shave! It was pretty scary watching it especially as it was a fresh new blade hee hee... DK said it was pretty relaxing. We went to the internet shop and looked for somewhere to stay in Goa, Durk offered us tea but I said I had an upset stomach so didnt want to drink it. (I dont like chai but didnt want to appear rude ) Sat on the palace steps for a bit and enjoyed the sun reading and people watching. OOO Remembered something from yesterday. When we were at Saffron I went to get batteries for my camera, as the shop didnt have any one of the guys went to get some for me, whilst I was waiting another man asked me to check the spelling on an email he was sending to somebody (It wasnt bad either hee )
After people watching we went to the Italian near the fort entrance for a drink DK had tiramisu (how random) we were sat on the roof, it was really warm and as I am the Blue Lady I think I burned a little so we went to the German bakery to sit in the shade and of course eat apple pie for the last time :( Was good. I felt a bit dodgy sat there so we left I thought I was going to be sick so went to the public toilets.

I KNOW!!!! I can imagine the look of horror on the face of anyone who knows me but guess what they were clean... Thought I was going to be seriously ill but after about 10 mins I was fine.Went back to the SHREE NATH, sat with the owner whilst we waited to go to the station. Raj asked me to fill out a survey on TRIP ADVISOR which I gladly did. Its a beautiful place and we really enjoyed our stay. The owner gave me a silk scarf as we were "nice staying people". I thought that was a nice touch. Got a taxi to the station 50 Rps. The station was really nice, I think it was new. Got a few bits and pieces for the journey and here we are on the train. 2AC. Up to now we arent sharing with anyone so WOOHOO!!! Loads of room.Ive really enjoyed Jaisalmer and now Im looking forward to Jodhpur. We were talking to some people to today who just came from Jodhpur and said it was good.
HA!DK saw a rat in the train - peeking out of a pile of laundry near our seats. I never saw it so think he was making it up!!! (fyi DK BIGGEST fear is rats)
1st impressions of Jodhpur...We love Jaisalmer we want to go back... Not liking it at all, not sure why but not liking it. Our hotel is ok though, manically decorated but ok. The owner is lovely like a mother hen and the son Lokesh is lovely. Too tired to think so we get to our room (which incidentally has a swing in it - im not sure why either) and sleep.
