Felt ok this morning when I woke up, the problem is that being here you can't really tell if it is the food or if it is actually the bite thats making you ill but I am putting my money on the bite.
I took another anti-histamine and anti-biotic and I'm ready to go! The swelling seems to have gone down so I'm pleased about that.
After a very nice breakfast and reading the papers we go to the BOMBAY STORE to buy more presents, this was followed by the watch shop to buy watches... funnily enough :)
Buy your watches already will you? I've been sat here waiting for what feels like hours, good job I can write up what we have done today to waste some time
Tendulkas still rocks- I'm glad I didn't feel let down as I did with Leopold's.
We decided to have lunch - DK had a salad and I had mini cheese naan's - Mmm gorgeous! Followed by the apple crisp - Oh yeah - Tendulkas still on the world wide apple pie search.
We slowly made our way back to the hotel, sat on the balcony reading - the sun is shining a breeze is blowing - not a care in the world - Its fantastic!
We went and sat on the wall on Marine Drive to watch the sun go down and then walked up to CHOWPATTY BEACH. Had a wonder round there for a bit and then walked down to go and get dinner. We went to GAYLORDS (is there only me that finds this funny) LP recommended it so we thought we would give it a try. HOW FAB! It was really good, it was a bit strange because it was like being in an Indian restaurant in England. If you haven't been to India the term restaurant is used for a lot of eating places but it is not restaurants as we know them :) believe me it really isnt
Anyway, yes it was like being in an Indian restaurant in England. We had one of the nicest meals from this trip.
Sat back in the room now - DK is watching football I'm sticking pins in my eyes... Happy days.
I've just given a family living on the street some money, I've resisted on this trip because you give to one you could quite easily give to all and to be honest a lot of the time the automatic reaction is white face - hand out for money - because they think we are rich!
Anyway we had walked past a family eating their dinner on their bit of the pavement - the kids waved and the mum just smiled. They never asked for money as we walked past so I gave them the change that I had. She was made up -I'd like to think genuinely but you never can tell... How cute - The little boy blew me a kiss - or maybe he was stopping his dinner falling out of his mouth - I dunno!!!!
BITE UPDATE - MMM not as bad as yesterday - it's still red and angry - although not as angry as me - I'm furious!!! So having cleaned the bite we are just going to chill out and watch TV.
That was our last full day in MUMBAI - we checkout tomorrow - I'll be sad.
