So here we are after months of planning, FINALLY on to our second trip to India, as I said on the profile - This is not a definite guide - a you must do - its the story of 2 people travelling around India for a couple of weeks Dec 2007.
The reason for doing it (the blog that is...) sometimes guide books are not enough plus we learned so much by reading other peoples blogs so thought we would like to share our journey.
We are 2 normal people with normal jobs doing normal things :)
We are Chris who will be known as DK (Dark Kent) and me, Gill, known as the BL (Blue Lady) him for his ability to tan and me for my ability not to!!!
Yes I'll mention food and prices a lot but I think its important that you know what its costs and whats available to you :)

Oh and its not perfect English either, im sat at home typing this up so go from past to present trense a lot - sorry! but I think you will get the jist...
So here we go.
Leave the house and get to Manchester mega early. Too early to check in... Well actually no, its only to early if your name is DK and you like rushing by the seat of your pants. Its fine if your like BL (a bit of a Monica).
So after having to wait oooh all of that 10 minutes before we check in... We eventually check in and go do all the airporty stuff that you do... I love airports so Im very happy, DK on the other hand....
Flight to Frankfurt is pretty uneventful, had about an hour to mooch round before our flight to Delhi.
Flight to Delhi was also pretty uneventful apart form the man that was kicking off because the lady in front of him put her seat back.As the air hostess kindly pointed out to him - this is a civil airline and she can put her seat back if she wants... Oh and the guy who sat next to DK was quite rude and grunted at the hostesses when they came to serve - no need to be quite so rude... Yes thats how eventful the flight was if Im making these types of observations...
Landed in Delhi, got through passport control, customs etc fine, had a taxi waiting for us so we decided to get money in the airport (we ahd a few rupees with us but agreed to get some now so we wouldnt have to think about going to the bank first thing in the morning)
Went to the ATM, we couldnt get any money out...
O.M.G! NO MONEY! to say I felt sick was an understatement - We are in Delhi and we have no money.
Im tired, have a headache and we have no money!!
DK of course being rational says as neither cards work and we are in different banks there is obviously a problem. Oh yeah never thought of that! Of course theres a problem - WE HAVE NO MONEY!!!
Get our cab and go to the HOTEL SRI NANAK and sleep - well ok I try to but I cant all I can think of is O.M.G we have NO MONEY!!!!
