The first night in Sevilla is something I'd rather forget about. It entailed getting woken up at 3 in the morning due to an infestation of bedbugs and then sleeping on a hard kitchen floor as it was the only place I could be reasonably sure was bedbug-free.
My spirit improved the following day with the arrival of another friend who joined me for the Sevilla/Cordoba leg of my trip. Sevilla then flew by with visits to the ubiquitous catedral and the Alcazar. The find of the weekend was awarded to a seafood restaurant which served the finest duck or goose (my Spanish failed at this test) liver pate. We went two nights in a row to get our fix of this fiendishly good stuff.
