We are now resident at Chris and Sander's. Their little flat is cute and the town is lovely too. We walked around the medieval centre of the town today and it is a typical university town. Very picturesque with canals etc.
We headed off quite late this morning (about 11:30am) as Chris and Sander slept in. This was a result of the cracking pace we set in Paris. Poor little things.
Chris and I are now relaxing at home while the boys have decided to go for a 2 hour bike ride in the 31 degree heat (yes, still hot and light at 8pm).
Sander is going to cook us a delicious and traditional Dutch meal if he ever gets back (thanks Tony). It's called Stamppot (I keep calling it stomplauter)...it involves mashed potato, veggie bits and bacon. Hmmmm.....
I wanted to try cherry beer tonight but no-one bought any. Sob.
