Later in the evening after dinner we watched the last show in the theatre, which ended up being a performance by a Caribbean singer called Marcus Anthony (the name is just too funny). We also saw two comedy shows. One was a ventriloquist show, which was really cool!
Being the most developed of the Caribbean Islands, and us being such chickens, we only really summoned the courage to go to land ourselves in Grand Cayman. Again it was a tendering port, so we got up early, collected a tender ticket and waited for our number to be called. Once it was called we ventured down to the lower deck where we could get on to a tender boat. The journey was only 10 minutes or so, which was quick, considering you could hardly see Belize at the last tendering port. As soon as we arrived at the port we saw signs for taxis and shared shuttles to 7 Mile Beach (our destination for the day). The squeezed a lot of us on the shuttle to the beach, but for the price you pay, $5 each, it was really quite worth it! We loved 7 Mile Beach! It was so beautiful, the softest whitest sand and the clearest water! We snorkelled and saw amazing fish here too, Payal even saw a small stingray! Oh and we saw a huge crayfish hiding under a rock too! We worked up a major appetite before trying some of the local cuisine. The food was delicious! We dried off and then headed back into the city. We checked out some shops before going back to the ship and playing some Mini Golf while sailing away in the sunset!
