Reached Clermont-Ferrand at 6:07pm. Turned to night already. Snowing everywhere and the cold is almost the same as Park City, unlike Paris which was slightly warmer and no snow on the ground. Took a cab to Hotel Athena. Clermont-Ferrand is not the small town I thought it was. It's quite big and so different from Park City which consist of just a main street that's maybe 2km in length. The whole journey from Best Western Landmark Inn to Hotel Athena took nearly 28 hours. Didn't expect it to be so tough. Cute, quaint and not modern room but at least it has a private bathroom. No internet... Then we went out at 7:20pm to first buy my cough syrup at the nearby pharmarcy then took a bus B to town. Walking along the town Square, we stopped a guy to ask for Directions and he turned out to be also a filmmaker from the festival. What luck coz he(Jon from New York) brought us through many turns, that on our own, we definitely won't be able to find the festival headquarters. Took our festival passes and other stuff like food vouchers and cash for the train (75 Euros-nice). Met Calmin. So nice to see him again. Then we went to eat at Universe with Jon. Nice to have a warm cooked meal again. Em really liked the food coupons- 6.50 Euros each and we have 32 for the week. That's a total value of 208 Euros/S$415 that we can save on eating. Hurray. Then we took the free shuttle back to the Hotel. Slept like a log till 3am for me and I am writing this. What a long 2 days.
