Mount Titlis, is one of the most favoured winter destinations in Europe. Its height is around 4000 feet approximately. Because, we did not have prior experience of winter sports, we were just looking forwrd to do sledging.

We started in the afternoon from Zurich and it was a cold and cloudy. The Journey towards Titlis was very scenic, as whole of the countryside was covered in snow. On the way to Titlis, You drive alongside a river, that scene was exhilarting as there was snow all over and in the centre, one can see a water stream running through.

When we reached at our destination, it started to snow and small town was posing a great view of surrounded three sides on the mountain. There were small hotels here and there and few houses. The mountains were covered in the snow. We could see the people sking on the mountain and children using sledges. The whole place was full of people who wanted to do snow sports. One has to take a cable car to go to the top of the mountain and then come down either by ski, sledge or cable car. We only decided to go till phase 1 and then sledge down to the base.

It was our first experience of sledging, so Ginny( my wife) was guiding us on how to apply brakes etc. We started sledging and it took us a min to figure out, how to ride it with expertise. The whole mountain was covered with atleast 8 inches of snow and in the middle, they have carved a path which was getting used to sledge. We stopped in between to take some pictures as the view there was just breathtaking. At this point I said to Bunny that we will race to the finish. I started ahead of Bunny but he was catching me fast as he had mastered the art of sledging before me. He tried to overtook me but I pushed him to disbalance and he fell. I started to lead the race but he took a shortcut and went ahead of me.It was a life time experience but when we reached down, we were all wet and shivering with cold.
