I jumped on the bus from Malaga to Tarifa which worked well because thereīs only 2 a day and I was lucky to catch the last one.  Tarifa is the very southern tip of Spain and the narrowest point between Europe and Africa.  I knew Morocco was close but I had no idea how close until I woke up this morning, looked out the window and saw a bunch of Africans waving at me  (All my American friends reading this- not really, it was a exaggeration to make a point.  All my English friends reading this- Africa is the big one in the middle).

Tarifa is a cool wee place.  Itīs small, but has a serious history.  It has been a strategic port for thousands of years, has changed hands more times than a joint in an Amsterdamn coffee shop, and for some reason is very windy.  Itīs a Mecca for kite-surfing and windsailing, so itīs got a surfer-dude feel to it too.

The boat over to Morocco is only 35 minutes, so tomorrow Iīm planning on going over to Tangiers for a couple of days.  If you donīt hear from me again Iīve been sold into the white slave trade.
