Hello all!

This evening Kirsty and I have set up our travel blog site here on TravelPod! We'll be using this blog to update friends and family back home of our travels with pictures and posts of our adventures. We were originally going to have a separate blog, but in the the end decided to create a joint one as it saves us the trouble of both writing the same things twice and will leave us more time to enjoy the cities and places we're exploring! We decided that we'll sign off our posts with either "G" or "K" to indicate who has written the post in case some of the content doesn't make sense to the other's friends or family.

We have a very long 'to do' list to get through between now and 3rd February so there's lots to keep us going. In the mean time, we've been trying to enjoy the start to the Christmas period! Unfortunately, Kirsty has to work Christmas Eve and Day so to compensate we have splashed out this year and bought a real tree! As you can see, it's stood proudly in Kirsty's room and hopefully we'll be able to keep it alive until the big day! We spent Sunday decorating the house with Christmas songs, movies and the traditional wine and mint matchmakers!

Anyways, that's enough for a first post. Hopefully we'll post a few more updates as it gets closer to the big day so that people know how we're doing. The plan at the moment is to arrange a bit of a leaving party for all our friends to come down and see us off so once we know a date we'll spread the word!

Take care all!
