We continued South and stopped off at a few of the scenic spots - Cape Disappointment (discovered by Captain Cook), Lighthouses, Seal colonies etc.  We visited 'the worlds' largest sea cave (according to the Americans) home to the sea lions (did I mention how bad they smell).  We arrived in Florence and were amazed by the sand dunes, some of which are as high as 500ft.  After finding somewhere to stay we headed into Old Town Florence which is very quaint, to find somewhere for dinner.  We stumbled upon the 'Waterfront Depot' restaurant, family owned and run.  This place was jam packed, seemingly this is where everyone in the know heads for a great meal and friendly service.  The food was fresh and delicious (should have had the crab encrusted Halibut, I was tempted to ask the lady beside me if I could try hers).  It's definitely worth spending a night in Florence just to experience the Waterfront Depot.
