We enjoyed our last few days in Vancouver hanging out with the Barrett's and enjoying some of Vancouver's finest culinary experiences. Kelley and Jonno's apartment is situated in Yaletown which is the trendy place to live and the spot for celebs and trendy people alike. It's a great location along the sea wall of False Creek so most days we were out walking and entertaining Logie (okay so there were cupcake rekkies along the way ;-). Kells invited fellow kiwis, Vanya, Ryan and their little girl Ciara, over for a good old kiwi roast and pav one night. Kells and I had great fun making our first ever pav which I can proudly say was a delicious success (of course - almost called home Mum for some tips ;-). We had a great night enjoying some of the wines we had discovered in Kelowna and finishing up with a heated competition of Buzz. We couldn't leave Vancouver without going to the 'best Japanese' restaurant in Vancouver, 'Tojos'. The decor wasn't anything to get excited about, def could get a few ideas from the likes of Hakkasan, however it was impressive to see the owner/chef creating his 'Omakase' for his guests to enjoy. The food was mouth watering and left you eager for the next course to arrive. Each dish was exquisite and well worth the money for this experience. It was sad to leave Vancouver as we felt so at home there and loved hanging with the Barrett's (although I'm sure they are enjoying having their lounge back and not having me getting Logie hyper just before his bedtime ;-). Had to enjoy a final coffee at Citos Espresso and say goodbye, the cafe where everyone knows your name, before getting on the bus to Seattle. Am sure we'll go back if only to head up to Grouse Mountain (that one's for you Kells & Mono).
