Greatings from Nyingtri, Tibet! We have been traveling through Eastern Tibet and western Sichuan province "Kham" for the last week and have been having a real blast! Some of our brief highlights include: 1. Camping under the brightest stars visible from earth 2. Getting our tent stolen by four ten year olds, and then recovered by a little girl outside of Litang. 3. Listening to the monks chanting at a huge monastery in Litang 4. Driving across a sketchy little bridge from Sichuan to Tibet, yeh, the TAR baby 5. Traveling up mountain passes exceeding 5000 meters in elevation! 6. Chillin with Kelsang and Jandu 7. Watching dancing in small town squares 8. Trying to save a prostitute in Nyingtri - long story 9. Hunting for bathroom spots along Rawok lake 10. Playing frisbee with a tibetan monk 11. Flat tire along the Sichuan-Tibet "highway" 12. Getting woken up by a huge dog outside our tent on Rawok lake. 13. Camping - sleep in a tent, fighting for land... 14. Traveling through the Tibetan countruside and meeting villagers 15. Finding people from Heilongjiang in Tibet 16. Getting our bball challange at the Rawok Chinese Military base turned down, yeh, they were scared. 17. playing some frisbee with Tibetan kids outside of Litang 18. Teaching Corrie about life, and what 'spooning' is 19. wandering during pee-breaks 20. enjoying the snowy mountains and deep river vallys... ... and more... of course...
