Relocating from LA to Anaheim we actually managed to move up the tourist-o-metre a notch. The only real entertainment to be found is Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm, not that it's a bad thing.

Interesting People We Met: Indiana Jones and Snow White.

Interesting Events:  On arrival at our motel in Anaheim we decided to seek out food. With a guide to MacDonald's map in our hand we set out. The map only specified two things, where Disneyland was and where MCD's was. Finding Disney was easy enough, it's massive. However our lacking map skills lead us astray. Rather than quickly finding MacDonald's it turned into a walk around Disney, finding food by a process of elimination. Turns out it was right next to where we started. I guess a 2 hour walk around Disney will help burn all those calories.

There was a huge line up for bag searches and we had no bags so I decided to walk through the empty line. The empty line turned out to be the exit and 30 seconds later I was quickly accosted by undercover Disney police. The feeling was very much like Simpsons episode where Bart gets caught by the Arian security guards at Itchy and Scratchy Land. Luckily the guy saw the funny side of it... no beatings from Mickey Mouse yet, but perhaps strike one.

Things we did: Roller coasters and merch. If you expect anything else from Disneyland don't bother going. In all honesty Knott's Berry had more exciting thrill rides with some roller coasters that truly felt like they might kill you (ghost rider and excelerate I'm looking at you!). Disney's rides had far more atmosphere and polish though, especially the ones using animatronics. I swear Jonny Depp was standing at the end of the pirates ride. Disney's space mountain is also possibly the coolest ride ever, a must see.

Conspiracy Theories: We searched everywhere but couldn't find any of the hidden Swastikas. I figure it's probably like Wolfenstein 3D though, all the holy grails are hidden in a secret bunker behind the trap door. I'll look harder if I ever go back.
