We woke up in TN today ready to go to the best Montessori school ever!  Montessori Academy in Brentwood TN.  One of the kids teachers had been following the blog and contacted us to see if we would be able to see one another.  All of us were super excited to go over.  The school is beautiful and the teachers are caring of the students well being physically, intellectually and emotionally. Ms. Hill found us right away and took us over to Ms. Pound (both were co-teachers for Jacob and Sarah in their multi-age class when our kids attended).  The administration was also very warm and welcoming. We were given a tour of the classes (the school is currently expanding to meet the demand), the gym and the playground. Our kids felt so at home that they even started to make friends (from the summer camp) as they played. Ohh how I wish we could of packed it all up and have taken it with us!  We even got to see the kids that had been close friends to both our kids! We took pictures and it will be so fun to check out the old pictures and see how much each one has grown in these almost two years.

Leaving the school it was time to go to a Nashville must stop The Grand Ole Opry backstage tour. We had a chance to take a picture with Minnie Pearl before we went in. During the tour we got to see Jim Ed Brown as he was getting ready to perform that night.  Sarah being our very outgoing child went up to him and started talking with him as we snapped up pictures. Once we got on the actual circle on the stage where performers since alsjdfalds to today have stood the tour guide asked if anyone wanted to sing.  Sarah volunteered and started to sing This Little Light of Mine and to all of our surprise Mr. Jim Ed Brown came over and sang right along with her.  The other people on the tour seemed pretty impressed that he joined in.

We could of found so many other things to do in TN but really now we had to get going.

We drove and got to a place called The Land Between the Lakes.  What a peaceful place! Water, sunshine, boats and small town. Wish we could of found out about this place while we still lived in TN...would of made for some real nice family vacations.
Soon we were in Kentucky but we did not stop for any KFC remember we are still vegetarians. lol

We drove through KY and soon entered a town in Illinois named Metropolis.  We had to stop there to take pictures with a Superman cut out!  How fun!

The kids wanted to see how the vending machines worked so we let them get a rainbow colored candy and we had two children that if brought in to a doctor would be diagnosed with some sort of behavioral or attention deficit issue...lesson learned: food coloring not a good thing in our kids diet.

We drove to the town of O'Fallon in Missouri and there we went to bed but not before having the best sushi ever in a restaurant close to the hotel!  Thanks for a great meal!

Tomorrow there will be some pretty TALL fun. :)
