This morning we disembark our ship and head home. This trip has been a memorable one. What strikes me is the vastness and the wild beauty of Alaska. We've only seen but a small part of it, but what we have seen has enchanted us...and leaves us wanting more. The bald eagles flying and playing in Sitka, small islands and totem poles dotting the coastline...the towering mountains surrounding Juneau...in contrast to a bustling small city, Ketchikan's seaport and houses built around the bay, as there is only 6 to 8 inches of topsoil, the rest granite, and Victoria's beautiful gardens, sweeping ocean vistas and stately buildings. It's been the trip of a lifetime for Bryan and I, and we find ourselves planning our next visit...perhaps flying into Fairbanks and driving around to spend more time in each location, exploring in depth all it has to offer.

I hope you've enjoyed reading about our journey. I'd love to hear from you, including any comments or questions or just to compare notes. Please feel free to take a look at some of the pictures we've taken.

Until our next adventure...

Patti and Bryan
