Off to Mykonos

The trip is going great so far. I already had a slight change of plans from my original. Maria asked me to go to the island of Zakynthos to her family's house for the weekend. It is a small island to the west of Athens that is not as well known as some of the others. Sometimes its nice not to be as much of a tourist and also to have people that speak the language. They consider the island life like going to the countryside. Her family was extremely nice but none of them spoke english. That however did not stop her grandmother and son from talking to me in Greek. All I could do was smile and laugh. The only Greek I learned so far was "good morning", "thank you" and 2 words that aren't very nice....so that did not really help me. The trip was very relaxing. We went to a different beach every day and went out on the town one night.

Today, I am off to Mykonos and then Santorini.
