After staying up a bit too late, Anna and I woke up and dragged ourselves to Apex for my last day of school. The kids may have been good Monday and Tuesday, but there must be a full moon and/or a blizzard on the way, because today they were bouncing off the walls -- none of them could sit still! As part of my efforts to help them spend their energy, I taught them some ballet during recess. At first even the boys joined (because I told them only really strong people could do ballet, which is true!), but mostly it was just three of the girls.

This afternoon the kids did math. They're working on division and I helped two little boys who were having some difficulty while Anna worked with the rest of the class. For one of them, I think he just wasn't paying attention to what he was writing, because he seemed to understand fine, with a little prodding. The other one also seemed to understand, but he's the boy who seemed to have really taken to me. I think he liked me explaining things to him with tiddly-winks.

Adorable kids, though after seeing them today, I can understand why Anna wants to throttle them, sometimes.

After school we had supper with another teacher and her husband. She provided the chicken wings (in a yummy sweet sauce) and Anna and I provided the curry. Once the meal was done, Anna and I came back to her place and spend the whole evening watching "Sex and the City", marathoning most of season 5 and a good chunk of season 6. Hey, I leave in two days, we have to get through this thing!

Tomorrow Anna's taking the day off so we'll go out on the town. I've been promised a visit to the museum and the library, and I've been told that the Legislature building is nice to see and the House has sealskin seats.
