The ride is very pleasant, often directly along the beach, but also often through for Negros typical sugar cane fields, allways flanked by the mountains.
Two ladys in a little shop tell me its about 45km to Bais which I think is feasable, despite the fact the map shows a total different figure. So what, the Map was not very reliable so far and transportation found quickly if needed.
But things seem a bit different in Negros, no Jeepneys in this area and allmost no minibuses (called "for hire"), only the newer Ceres liner busses without a roof rack, and two ladys who have no clue about distances (ok guys, I know, fits the stereotype...)
How the story ended: with 90km on the meter, still 45 ahead, desperately looking for a ride
-> a government official, a bus driver & some others finally found a bigger tricycle that gave me a lift to Bais. "Ende gut, alles gut", thx a lot again!
Today, the remaining 40km to Sibulan were an easy 'cycle' and I reached Mary-Anns Casa Margaritha before lunch. Really an oasis! Here I will stay until Dec 24th and then pick up a friend in Cebu who will join me cycling for a few weeks.
By the way, the Visa extension I got allready this afternoon, so all I have to do for the next days: enjoy myself and go diving - yes!
Visa extension from 2 to 3 month: very expensive because they order an ID Card for you which you will never get travelling because it takes 4 weeks to issue it, but you get a receip to show that it is issued...(dont get it? :-)
