The next morning I got on the road early, exspecting a mountain crossing to come, my first real climbe. The climbe was suposed to come right after San Jose - hm, Michael, 20km -> for a cyclist is not exactly right after :-)
Anyway, there was this mountain ridge of about 300hm, usually not that much of a problem, but for me the road was to steep to pedal and so I had to push. But lucky me again, after struggling for about 10min a motorcyclist felt sorry for me, turned back, tide a rope to my cycle and pulled me up to the top - thanks very much again! (that much to my actual fitness level...)
The good thing about it, the view was great anyway, and I was still quite relaxed :-)
In Bulalao, a pretty little fishermans town, I take a bus to Roxas because I want to catch the 4:00am ferry to Caticlan/Panay and relax a bit before the trip
The villages along the road looked ok, but most of the houses right beside the beach are damaged and still lots of wood laying around - but nothing alike the pictures on tv we saw from Tacloban.
A bit sad, the Panay West coast is beautiful, it would have bin great cycling.
Summary Mindoro: great for cycling! The West coast is a perfect start, pretty landscape, its mostly flat, little traffic, and allways a hotel whithin a comfortable cycing distance.
