I'm in Starbucks again. I need to find a better place to write. Problem is that I don't think there is a quiet place to write that is this accessible.

I'm sitting in the door-way of the Starbucks at the Mount. If I look right I see Christmas decor, if I look left I see people wandering around in shorts. To screw with me even more the dirty buggers are playing "sleigh ride". I am so emotionally screwed up right now. I'm finding it hard to work up my usual "Christmas Humbug" when I keep going for runs along the beach. Greer put a wreath on our door a while ago. Damn her...

To make things worse I just dropped my brownie under the "coffee addition stand". It bounced there after it "rocketed" off my plate when I tried to take a piece. Brownies shouldn't bounce... should they?

I spent the week before this last in my former, usual, confused state. Kinda makes me feel at home... Sometimes I swear I'm on T.V.

I just realized I'm homesick for the first time. I wish they would turn this bloody CD off.

I finally took some surf lessons last weekend. $50 got me the rentals and about an hour worth of surfing. I managed to get up and ride a couple of waves! My pride was short-lived though as i decided to walk home along Maunganui road in my wetsuit. A mustached man in a wetsuit with a Canadian dialect draws a lot of attention when walking through street cafes.

I just heard "White Christmas". I'm outa here before I snap. I'll find a nice pub or something.
