It is Sunday night. I have been drinking again. Which means I have been thinking too much.
Over the past few days I have done a lot, and accomplished very little. I have met friends I have known, and friends have have previously hadn't. I've been to drunk to stand. I've drank with at least seven nationalities. I've been to the Auckland Museum. I've eaten expensive sushi. I've been to the beach, and I've been to the ghettos. I've been soaked by the rain, and forgotten my sunglasses. I've been told that I need to find Jesus by a stranger. I've seen eels, and I've eaten eels (not the same ones).
I met with a friend from Edmonton the other day. I enjoyed talking with her as it made me feel a little less alone. We wound up at a nice English pub with one of here flat-mates, a Scott, and their friends
I met up with Heather and Dave yesterday. It was good to find some fellow Canucks in the hostel. We are all staying in the same room. We have a Canadian flag in the window.
I have to start looking for jobs, and a flat. I've sent away a couple resumes (they call them CVs here), and have already heard back from one guy who may want to meet me on Tuesday.
Dave is leaving tomorrow and Heather shortly after. ACB is full of people coming and going. It is very suiting to a harbour town.
I have found someone who knows what they want from life. I find myself somewhat envious. On the other hand, I feel my confusion has given me a sort of freedom that they don't have.
